Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NCAA. Each week, we send out questions to the most plugged in Virginia Cavaliers fans, and fans across the country. Sign up here to join Reacts.
Coming off of an impressive win last week, confidence among Virginia fans, just like COVID cases, is spiking once again as we head towards the final quarter of the season. Wear your masks.
In fact, according to the most recent SB Nation Reacts survey, a full 100 percent of responding Virginia fans said they are confident the team is headed in the right direction. That’s up from 94 percent last week and 53 percent earlier in the season.
You can join in on the action by signing up for the survey in the link at the end.
Virginia has a chance to keep the good feelings rolling as they face [checks notes] Abilene Christian this weekend.
Things are noticeably less rosy around the country where the coaching carousel has officially opened. South Carolina fired head coach Will Muschamp and according to fans around the country, that will just be the beginning. Roughly two-thirds of fans think at least three Power Five schools will fire their head coach before the end of the season, with 39 percent predicting three coaches getting the axe.
Making things more difficult for those schools that may be looking for a new coach, fans don’t think they will exactly be able to pick-and-choose among the next level of coaches. 53 percent of fans said they would rather coach a dominant Group of Five program than a lower-level Power Five team.
