No. 4 Virginia Cavaliers vs. Towson Tigers
Tipoff Time: 1:30 p.m. ET
Location: Uncasville, Connecticut
Online Streaming: FloHoops
Latest Sportsbook Odds: Virginia -19
The unpredictable 2020-2021 season officially tips off for the No. 4 Virginia Cavaliers today and, in line with everything that 2020 has brought us, no one knows how to watch the reigning national champions start their campaign.
We don’t blame you.
The last 48 hours has been a scheduling roller coaster, with Florida backing out of the tournament due to COVID problems, and then Maine also backing out, although not officially declaring why. That left Virginia without any opponent. So, less than 24 hours before tipoff, it was officially announced that the Hoos would be taking on Towson today, and will face San Francisco on Friday, neither of whom were originally slated on the Virginia schedule.
The easiest way to watch the game is by getting a FloHoops subscription. FloHoops is part of FloSports, the online streaming service that’s used to cover a lot of sporting events that typically don’t make it onto mainstream ESPN, like rowing, swimming, etc. And now, in the year 2020, it’s used to cover the season tipoff of the reigning national champions. What a time.
It costs from $12.50 per month to join and you can cancel at any time. You can sign up here: https://www.flohoops.com/signup. You don’t need to watch from your computer, you can stream it directly from AppleTV, Roku, and FireTV devices.
Friday’s matchup against San Francisco will be on ESPN. While you wait for today’s tipoff, here’s our big preview.
