This is one of two remaining opportunities Virginia has to bolster its NCAA tournament resume as Duke is ranked in the top-10 both per the AP (No. 6) and KenPom (No. 2). Virginia also plays No. 11 Louisville (March 7) in the six remaining games.
Duke is currently on a seven game winning streak and sits atop the ACC standings at 12-2. Virginia is fourth, with an ACC record of 9-5. Virginia has won five of its last six games, including a dramatic buzzer-beater against North Carolina on Saturday.
The Blue Devils have won two straight against the Cavaliers, and have a three-game win streak at John Paul Jones Arena. Virginia last beat Duke in Charlottesville in 2013 when Joe Harris dropped 36 points.
Next up, Virginia hosts Boston College on Wednesday night at 8pm.
