After posting career-highs in ground balls won (7) and turnovers forced (5) against then-No. 18 Lehigh, junior Kyle Kology was named ACC Player of the Week for the defensive side of the ball. Kology’s selection marks the second consecutive week a UVA men’s lacrosse player has earned the distinction, with goalie Alex Rode taking home the prize last time around.

The same goes for the women’s team, who saw senior Sammy Mueller (nine goals, 12 ground balls in two games) give UVA a second straight ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week after junior Ashlyn McGovern won the award seven days prior.
