Virginia baseball (2-2) overcame a 3-0 deficit to edge VMI in their home opener on Wednesday, 4-3. The Hoos took the lead following a four-run seventh inning, when they scored on a single, passed ball, balk and groundout.

2020 commit Reece Beekman scored a career-high 40 points on Tuesday night, helping to lead Scotlandville - the current No. 15 high school in the nation - to a 86-45 win over Live Oak. With the win, Beekman’s team moves to 30-3 overall.
10 Added to Wade Watch List at Midseason Point (Women’s Basketball Coaches Association)
Senior guard Jocelyn Willoughby was added to the watch list for the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association National Player of Year Award (the Wade Trophy), the WBCA announced on Wednesday. Willoughby leads the ACC in scoring at 19.6 points per game.
