The final commitment for the Virginia Cavaliers’ football recruiting class of 2020 was also one of the last guys to pick up an offer: East Nashville (TN) wide receiver Demick Starling.

UVA is Starling’s only Power Five offer. His other FBS offers include Liberty, Toledo, Miami (OH), and Western Michigan. At 6-foot and 170 pounds, Starling is rated an 81 in the 247 Composite.
Starling is another late bloomer like Dontayvion Wicks was in the 2019 class. Wicks came to UVA with FBS offers from only Louisiana and New Mexico. But like Wicks, Starling has eye-popping athletic credentials. For example...

The earliest likelihood of Starling making an impact for Virginia will be on special teams, where he looks dynamic with the ball in his hand and sets up blocking well. Marques Hagans has proven to be an exceptional wide receiver coach (check UVA’s drop rate last year) and Starling gives him plenty of raw material to work with.
