The 2019-20 college basketball season is over, as the NCAA announced that March Madness (along with all other winter and spring championships) has been canceled.
Which means it’s time to look ahead to 2020-21—and Virginia Cavaliers fans will like what they see.
Opening odds to win the 2021 NCAAB National Championship (Bovada):

Virginia +850
Gonzaga +900
Kansas +1000
Kentucky +1100
Creighton/Baylor +1200
Michigan St/Duke +1400
Florida St. +1800
Texas/Wisconsin/Florida/Louisville/SDSU +2500
Oregon +2800
The Hoos return Kihei Clark and Jay Huff, and gain transfer forward Sam Hauser. In addition to the young players whose development propelled UVA to the #2 seed in this year’s ACC Tournament, Tony Bennett will welcome a top-15 recruiting class per the 247 Composite.
Bart Torvik released his lookahead as well, and UVA is right at the top. Torvik’s projections have the Cavaliers just behind Gonzaga nationally, with Louisville the next closest ACC team at #14.
Something sweet to balance out the bitter taste of no more Braxton, no more Mamadi, and no more college basketball for another eight months.
