With the cancellation of the NCAA tournament as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Virginia Cavaliers stay the reigning national champions for another year. The reigning Final Four Most Outstanding Player, Kyle Guy, has a little more time on his hands as the NBA and G-League seasons have been halted, so one of our favorite former Hoos jumped on one of our favorite non-STL podcasts!
Guy joined the now-Fox Sports hosted Titus & Tate podcast to chat with hosts (and friends of STL) Mark Titus and Tate Frazier. They talk about Kyle’s favorite movies and board games, what he’s been doing while self isolating, and discuss this year’s Virginia team. Plus, Kyle gives great insight into what it’s like playing for Tony Bennett, and what the team hierarchy is like.
Oh, and stay tuned til the end to hear Titus talk about his trip to Charlottesville after the Cavaliers won the title. He talks about when he took a tumble down a set of stairs at a Corner establishment, and you’ll find out whether or not Kyle participated in our blog’s namesake activity during his time at school.
You can watch the interview here, starting at the 18:10 mark, or download the episode wherever you listen to your podcasts.
The former Wahoo guard also watched the recent re-airing of the Purdue, Auburn, and Texas Tech games on CBS and CBS Sports Network. He has settled into being a Virginia fan well, even if that means dealing with the added stress and some still salty Auburn fans.
Everyone talks about Ty double dribbling but don’t talk about Doughty traveling right here lol ...

Guy, along with fellow Big Three teammates Ty Jerome and De’Andre Hunter, took over the Virginia Men’s Basketball Twitter account for CBS’s showing of the title game on Sunday. If you happened to miss Kyle’s rewatch of the National Championship game, you can catch the video on his Twitch channel.
