There’s a bunch of bad news constantly clogging up your Twitter timeline, so here’s something lovely and delightful to bring a smile to your face.
Former Virginia wide receiver Joe Reed was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the fifth round with the 151st overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft back in April. Reed had seven touchdowns on 77 receptions and 679 yards as part of Virginia’s stellar receiving corps last season. Oh, and he returned two kickoffs for touchdowns.
Beyond his prowess on the field, Reed is known for his glowing smile and all-around stellar personality. The Chargers put together a video package from Joe’s parents, and it’s the most wholesome and great thing you’ll see all week.
His mom narrates the video, which goes from unbelievably adorable baby pictures to video of him playing youth football to footage of him on the field at Virginia. I’m not sure what prompted the creation of the video, but it’s perfect and great, and you should watch it.
