The NBA season is underway in the bubble in Orlando, and former Hoo Justin Anderson has his first highlight reel play in the books. Anderson’s Brooklyn Nets were facing the Milwaukee Bucks, and Virginia fans got a glimpse of the awe-inspiring skill they were used to seeing from JA in Charlottesville.
Midway through the second quarter, Anderson came off of a curl, found space in the lane, and went strong to the hoop. Likely MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo tried to meet Anderson at the rim, but Simba had too much going to be stopped. The result?

At the time of publish, Anderson had played 11 minutes and scored 11 points on 4-for-7 shooting from the field with a 3-for-5 mark from three. He also added three rebounds, one assist, and a block as the Nets held a 94-88 lead to start the fourth quarter (you can almost hear Tony Bennett shudder at that score).
Teammate and fellow Cavalier Joe Harris is not active for today’s game, but he is averaging 20.5 points in his first two bubble games. Harris went 16-for-24 from the field (67%) against Orlando and Washington, and shot 8-for-15 from three (53%) with 11 rebounds, three assists, one block, and one steal.
The Nets next play on Wednesday, August 5, at 9pm (ET). The game will be televised by ESPN.
