The ACC announced Monday that the Virginia Cavaliers vs. Duke Blue Devils kickoff time is set for 4:00 p.m. ET on September 26, to be televised on the ACC Network. It’s the season opener for the Hoos, who had to drop VMI after the SoCon canceled the season, and postpone Virginia Tech who has suspended football activities for a few days due to COVID-19.
Here’s the full ACC schedule for the September 26 slate:
Notre Dame at Wake Forest, noon on ABC
Louisville at Pitt, noon on ACC Network
Georgia Tech at Syracuse, noon on ACC RSN
Duke at Virginia, 4 p.m. on ACC Network
Texas State at Boston College, 6 p.m. on ACC RSN
Florida State at Miami, 7:30 p.m. on ABC
NC State at Virginia Tech, 8 p.m. on ACC Network
Of course, everything remains to be in flux and will depend on whether any schools may need to cancel or postpone any games due to COVID-19 positive tests or contact tracing.
Virginia holds an all time series record of 38-33-0 against the Blue Devils, including a 48-14 victory last year in Charlottesville.
Duke opened the season with a strong showing, particularly in the first half, against conference rival No. 10 Notre Dame before ultimately falling 27-13 in South Bend.
