Under the previous plan that was announced back in June, the lesser of 50% of capacity or 1,000 fans were going to be allowed into home games at UVA.
Since then, the US has still not controlled the virus and health and safety concerns are still at an all time high. Because of that, attendance at UVA home games will be limited to family of student-athletes and the teams’ coaching staffs.
These new guidelines do not apply to basketball just yet, but apply to all fall sports including football, men’s and women’s soccer, field hockey, volleyball, and cross country.
