The game against the Wildcats will be the weekend before Thanksgiving, closing out a four-game home stand that will run from UNC-Chapel Hill on October 31st through tilts against Louisville and Duke.
This will be the first ever meeting between UVA and Abilene Christian. ACU plays in the Southland Conference—home to recent power Sam Houston State—and finished 2019 with a record of 5-7. Head coach Adam Dorrel is in his fourth year in Abilene after leading Northwest Missouri State to three Division II championships.
Unfortunately, UVA also announced that fans will not be permitted at Scott Stadium for the 2020 season, with attendance limited to just players’ families and coaching staffs. The new attendance policy will apply to all fall sports; no announcement has yet been issued regarding mens’ or women's basketball.
