The Milwaukee Bucks have recalled former Virginia Cavaliers star Mamadi Diakite from the Lakeland Magic of the NBA G League, the organization announced on Wednesday. Diakite has yet to appear in a NBA game this season.

In his 12 games so far in his rookie season, the Guinea native has averaged 18.5 points on 58% shooting, 10.3 rebounds, 2.1 blocks, and 2.1 assists per game. He also ranks third among G League players in player efficiency.

Diakite closed out February with a huge 25 point, 15 rebound, and five block performance against Fort Wayne:

The Bucks’ next game is Thursday, March 4, as they face the Memphis Grizzlies at 8pm. Diakite seemingly has an extensive following on Twitter as Milwaukee fans have been clamoring for him to join the squad.

With Diakite joining the league, he is now the eighth Virginia player currently on an active NBA roster this season. Mike Scott (Philadelphia 76ers), Malcolm Brogdon (Indiana Pacers), Joe Harris (Brooklyn Nets), Kyle Guy (Sacramento Kings), Ty Jerome (Oklahoma City Thunder), Anthony Gill (Washington Wizards) and De’Andre Hunter (Atlanta Hawks) are all playing this year.

Mamadi isn’t the only former Wahoo that has been lighting it up in the G-League as fellow national champ Braxton Key poured in 19 points for the Delaware Blue Coats (Philadelphia 76ers affiliate) on Monday. Key went a perfect 3-for-3 from three, and 8-for-10 from the field.

Keep up the great work, guys!
