We’re officially 100 days until kickoff for the 2021 Virginia Cavaliers football campaign, which makes it a timely release for kickoff times of the first five games of the season!
The season begins with a glorious return and (presumably) reopening of Scott Stadium on Saturday, September 4 against our in-state friends from William & Mary at 7:30 p.m. ET, to be broadcast on Regional Sports Networks.
The Hoos will stay in Charlottesville the following weekend to host Illinois at—hold on to your butts—11:00 a.m. Whatever breakfast tailgates you’re used to for noon games, better crank it up a notch.
Week three on September 18 takes Virginia down to Chapel Hill for another 7:30 p.m. ET start time against North Carolina on the ACC Network. Virginia won a 44-41 contest against the Tar Heels this past season.
Virginia returns home for a Friday night contest against Wake Forest Sept. 24 with a 7:00 p.m. kickoff — this one’s on ESPN 2, where Virginia will have the opportunity to avenge a 23-40 loss from last year.
Finally, a busy September wraps up with a Thursday night road trip on September 30 to Miami for another 7:30 p.m. kickoff on ESPN. Finally, Virginia is getting the national respect on prime time that it deserves. (This was another loss last season, 14-19).
Here’s a look around the conference at the first three weeks:
