Will Bettridge hails from Gulliver Prep in South Florida, where he is coached by former UVA linebacker Earl Sims. The major scouting services for specialists all have Bettridge as a top-10 kicker: #1 on Kornblue, #7 on Kohl’s, and #5 on Chris Sailer. He holds scholarship offers from LSU, Georgia Tech, Air Force, and Army, with preferred walk-on offers at Florida State and Michigan.
Here is what Chris Sailer had to say:
Will is a fantastic high school kicking prospect. He is a great looking athlete with a live leg. Will hits a D1 level ball on field goal. He gets the ball up quick off the ground and has 60 yard range. His kickoffs are outstanding. Will averages 70+ yards with 4.0+ hang time. He is a competitor that kicks with big confidence. Will has all the tools to dominate the next level. Look for him to compete with the best of the best at the TOP 12 Camp Camp and challenge for a Polynesian Bowl Spot. Will is a fine young man that is a pleasure to work with. I look forward to a bright future working with him. Outstanding prospect.
