Another big week for the Virginia Cavaliers, coming off a 42-14 win over Illinois, demolishing the 10.5-point spread. As the Hoos get ready for their first away game of the season down in Chapel Hill, Vegas is calling Virginia a 10-point underdog to North Carolina.
The Tar Heels rebounded from a disappointing Week 1 loss to Virginia Tech by shellacking the Georgia State Panthers, 59-17. Carolina was favored by 26 points in last week’s matchup
Virginia is now 2-0 against the spread. Though tough to find a Vegas sports book who would take the W&M line, the Virginia was favored by 30.5 against the Tribe, per TeamRankings.
Virginia is down all-time in the South’s Oldest Rivalry, a series dating all the way back to 1892. While North Carolina leads the series, 63-58-4, Virginia has won the last four straight meetings. North Carolina had won seven straight prior.
