Devon Hall 6'5" 210lbs Guard Freshman
There is another Hall on campus! This one plays guard for the basketball team and also hails from Virginia Beach, VA where he played for his father at Cape Henry Collegiate. Devon adds phenomenal size for the position to go with great athleticism.
A four year letter-winner and two year team captain in high school, Devon adds plenty of leadership at one of the most important positions on the court. Devon sports a versatile game having averaged 14.9 points 7 rebounds and 7.5 assists his last two years in high school. A well decorated player Hall was named to the first team All Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association and led his team to a 29-4 record as a senior after winning a state championship as a Junior. In addition to his high school accomplishment he was ranked as a top 100 prospect by Rivals and was a McDonald's All-American Game nominee. Hall was a huge get for UVA as he held offers Florida, Iowa, Miami, Maryland and Memphis.
Devon Hall brings a history of winning to the UVA program. The son of a successful high school coach, he fulfilled his parents dream by committing to UVA where his brother plays football. A combined 56-8 his last two years in high school is quite an accomplishment. Devon is slated to play point guard for the Hoos, a position to which he is accustomed. His size will come in handy as he can easily guard either back-court position. He is described as being an outstanding passer who is good in all other facets of the game.
