This week's polls are out. After sliding past Virginia Tech on the road and hammering Notre Dame at JPJ, the Hoos moved up a couple spots Virginia sits at 12th in the AP Poll and 11th in the Coaches Poll, moving up from 14th and 13th, respectively.

UVA was voted as high as 4th, by Ron Morris of Columbia, South Carolina. John Bohnenkamp of Burlington, Iowa had Virginia 18th on his ballot, which was a pretty goofy thing to do.

Syracuse's losses to BC and Duke sent them down to 4th in the AP. The Gators are the new #1, followed by Wichita State, Arizona, Cuse, and Kansas. Duke may have lost to UNC, but by beating Syracuse they dropped just 1 spot to #6 while North Carolina moved in at 19th. As far as past out-of-conference foes, surging SMU jumped in at #23 after a win over UConn, and surging Wisconsin went to 14th.

The computers are consistent putting UVA in the top 15, if not the top 10, in the nation.

KenPom: #6 (43rd in offense and 4th in defense. KenPom projects a 16-2 ACC finish, though UVA will be favored in each of its 3 remaining games).

Massey: #7

Sagarin: #12

LRMC: #13

BPI: #13

RPI: #16

Checking back on NCAA seeding projections, The Bracket Project, which aggregates a large number of attempts at March Madness bracket predictions, still has UVA at a 4 seed right now. It's components have the Hoos placed as high as #2 and as low as #6.

TeamRankings.com gives UVA a 31% chance of a 3 seed, 26% of a 4 seed, and 17% at a 2 seed (and...a 4.1% shot at grabbing a 1 seed). Other fun Team Rankings things include UVA's 83% chance of ACC 1 seed, 11.5% chance of a Final Four, and 2.2% chance of an NCAA title.
