So, it happened. Virginia hired a new football head coach and his name is Bronco Mendenhall. In case you missed it, Virginia Athletics director Craig Littlepage announced the hiring on Friday. The former Brigham Young University head coach was not talked about heavily during the last week or so but here we are. Mendenhall has created successful BYU teams year in and year out and has never had a losing season as head coach. His impressive campaign at BYU rightfully got Virginia fans excited and UVa twitter exploded. Both sides agreed to a five-year deal that pays Mendenhall a cool $3.25 million per year.
A new era, the Mendenhall Era, is starting and boy is it awesome. If his first name hasn't already gotten you excited for next year, then I don't know what will. Maybe an aesthetically pleasing infographic will. Check out the new guy and stay tuned to STL as more information comes in.
