Virginia Football Lands Transfer Running Back

The Virginia Football team has secured its third incoming transfer of the off-season with the commitment from Maryland running back Albert Reid.

Continuing with the recent trend of incoming (not to mention outgoing) transferring players, UVa football will be bringing in a third transfer this fall. Albert Reid, a running back, is the third player to transfer to the Hoos this year, following Charlie Hopkins (tight end) and T.J. Thorpe (wide receiver).

Coming off of a medical redshirt season, Reid will have two more years of eligibility remaining and is able to play immediately, having graduated in three years from Maryland. The Maryland native and former four star recruit had his most productive season at UMD in 2013, when he rushed for 294 yards and two touchdowns. Reid joins a Wahoo backfield that includes Taquan Mizzell (Jr), Daniel Hamm (So), and Jordan Ellis (RS Fr). The Wahoos also can expect the enrollment of incoming recruit, Olamide Zaccheaus, adding to a diverse and talented depth chart at the position.
