Virginia executes a perfect screen pass for a 80-yard touchdown

IT FINALLY WORKED!

Amber Searls-USA TODAY Sports

After YEARS of screen passes at Virginia, Offensive Coordinator Steve Fairchild can finally say "I TOLD YOU SO, GUYS!" to the entire doubting fan base.

Matt Johns and the Hoos perfectly execute the screen pass, and Smoke Mizzell just takes off running and shows off a little bit of that speed that the was so highly recruited for. It's an 80-yard touchdown off a screen pass for the Hoos' most impressive play of the game so far.

The play is Mizzell's longest catch of his career, and Johns's longest pass of his career, and Virginia's longest pass since Michael Rocco's 78-yard touchdown at Miami in 2011.
