Virginia’s Jordan Mack demolishes Duke QB Daniel Jones to force fumble, seal 34-20 win

After already witnessing its two touchdown lead cut to 27-20, Virginia was forced to punt with just over five minutes remaining, giving Duke one last chance to tie the game. Would the Cavaliers let another game slip through their fingertips?

The answer, delivered by Jordan Mack, was an EMPHATIC no. On the second play of the Blue Devils’ drive, which began at its own one-yard line, Mack had an unblocked chance at the quarterback and didn’t disappoint:

Eli Hanback scooped up the ball in the endzone, and the Hoos locked up a 34-20 victory, their first on the road since 2012. Credit also goes to punter Nick Conte, who pinned Duke deep in their own territory with a perfectly placed punt.
