The Virginia Cavaliers and the South Carolina Gamecocks will be squaring off in the 2018 Belk Bowl on December 29, 2018 in Charlotte, NC. For the Virginia faithful, this will be the second year in a row that they get to travel to a bowl game, something they haven’t been able to do since 2005.
If you’re looking to make the trip to Charlotte, here’s everything you need to know on how to get tickets.
Which are Virginia’s sections?
If you’re looking to hang out with the Hoos, you’ll want to purchase in Sections 112-118, 224-225, 316-323 and 516-521, which are in the official Virginia block.
How much are tickets?
Before fees, tickets prices are $55, $65, $70, $76, $92 and $135, of course depending on where your seats are. But chances that not all of these price options are going to be available, depending on your donor status or where you purchase from.
VAF Donors
If you’re a VAF donor, your time to act is NOW! Click here to log into your account and purchase tickets. If you have 2,500 or more priority points, you can purchase tickets at all price levels. If you have between 500-2,499 priority points, you can buy in both the upper and lower price levels, but you won’t be able to buy at that elusive $135 mark, which we assume to be the first 10-15 rows of the lower level. Finally, VAF donors and season ticket holders with fewer than 500 priority points can buy in the upper level only.
The Virginia ticket office encourages all VAF donors to buy today, as they’re expecting a sell-out of their block. Tickets get released to the public on Monday at 5:00 p.m., so you’ll want to act quickly. Seats are assigned as you purchase, so it’s a first-come, first-served.
Public Ticket Sales
If you’re not a donor or current season ticket holder, you’ve still got options. According to the Virginia Athletics page, “the general public may place requests now to purchase tickets in the UVA seat block. Those requests will be fulfilled only if there is remaining inventory in upper level seat locations on Monday, Dec. 3 at 4 p.m.“
If tickets are still available after the early requests, then the rest will be made available to the public at 5:00 p.m. ET on Monday.
Not going?
If you’re not going, just set your TVs to ABC on Saturday, December 29 at noon ET.
