With an all-time record of 8-39-1 against the Tigers, Virginia has lost the last four straight in the series, including a 62-17 loss in the ACC Championship Game last season. The Hoos last beat Clemson in 2004, a 30-10 victory in Charlottesville.
Both teams are undefeated and both teams are 1-0 atop the ACC standings, which is a fun way to describe the contest between last year’s Atlantic and Coastal champions.
Virginia was a 4.5-point favorite over Duke this past weekend, beating the spread with a 38-20 win. Clemson had opened a 35-point favorite over Wake Forest in Week 1 but did not beat the spread en route to a 37-13 win.
