Virginia's defense holds Norfolk State to under 50; time to pay up the Pack Line Pledge to One Love Foundation

New, 9 comments

Virginia completely handled Norfolk State by a final score of 67-39, but the real winner last night was the One Love Foundation, and you were the game's MVP.

Amber Searls-USA TODAY Sports

Last night's 67-39 rout of Norfolk State didn't have all the fanfare one would expect from the season's home opener of the reigning ACC regular season and tournament champions, but when the final buzzer sounded, it meant more than just another of many Ws for the season.

Holding Norfolk State to under 50 triggered the Pack Line Pledge for the first time this season, which means, for those of you who made the pledge, it's time to cash in! If you haven't taken the pledge but would like to learn more or get involved, simply read all about it here.

At the time of this writing, there is a total of $232 pledged for each UVA win in which opponents are held to under 50 -- now let's make good on our promises!

Note: There is a minimum donation of $10, so for those of you who have pledged less than this per game, you'll need to either up your donation amount or wait until enough games have passed to make a donation in bulk!

If you'd like an email reminder each time an opponent is held under 50, and therefore each time it's time to pay up, simply email us.
