The Virginia Cavaliers are the #7 team in the nation, per today's Associated Press Poll.  The team was 8th in last week's edition, but jumped North Carolina after its loss to Butler.

Besides UNC's drop, the teams in front of UVA remain unchanged.  There's bound to be a shakeup soon, as #2 Wisconsin and #4 Duke square off this week, as do #1 Kentucky and #6 Texas.

Five ACC squads are ranked in this week's poll: #4 Duke, #5 Louisville, #7 Virginia, #12 North Carolina, and #15 Miami. Syracuse, NC State, and Notre Dame received votes as well.

Virginia has a big week upcoming; the Hoos head to #21 Maryland on Wednesday, then continue their tough road swing at VCU, who fell just outside the top 25, Saturday.

UVA also moved up another spot in the USA Today/Coaches poll, landing at #6 in the nation.  The computers continue to give Virginia respect as well, as the team is 5th in KenPom and 8th in Sagarin.
