Three games down, three Pack Line Pledge games achieved. Virginia defeated Yale on Sunday afternoon by a final score of 62-38, marking the third straight time the Hoos have held their opponent to under 55 points.
It’s still early in the season, but at least through November 19, Virginia leads the nation in scoring defense, holding opponents to a mere 41.5 points per game. Utah (47.0) and Wichita State (49.0) are the only other two averaging a scoring defense under 50.
You can use the little CrowdRise widget to make your donation, which is tax deductible as the money goes straight to the One Love Foundation.
For those of you who don’t remember, for ever Pack Line Pledge game -- that is, for every game that the Cavaliers hold their opponents to under 55 — Pack Line Pledge participants will donate a set amount to the One Love Foundation in honor of Yeardley Love. The better the Hoos’ defense over the course of the year, the more money gets donated towards raising awareness of relationship violence.
In case you missed the pledge form, here it is below.
Big thanks to the following readers for making their pledges!
