The ACC, unsurprisingly, leads all conferences with three nominees, followed by the Big 12, Big Ten, and SEC with two each. Each of the Big East and Pac-12 also have a nominee.

The list features six seniors, one junior, three sophomores and a freshman, Ben Simmons, who is also a finalist for the freshman of the year award.

The award will be presented on April 11. Last year, Wisconsin's Frank Kaminsky was given the honor.
