Get the Look
The Presidential Bracket is out! Barack Obama picked #1 overall seed Kansas to win the NCAA title. The President has filled out a bracket annually during his presidency, and also picked the Jayhawks to win it all in 2010 and 2011.
Obama had some kind words for Virginia, but he picked the Hoos to fall to Michigan State in the Elite Eight. He explained, "They've got a great coach in Tony Bennett, but I'm going with Michigan State. Much respect for this team, as UVA is disciplined, but I believe that Denzel Valentine is the best college player. And the type of leadership at the guard position he provides Michigan State I think gets them to the Final Four."
Overall, the President's bracket is pretty chalky. His biggest first-round upset was his pick of #13 Hawaii, from his home state, to upset #4 Cal. He also has Oregon State, which fired his brother-in-law as head coach after the 2014 season, going down in the first-round to 10-seed VCU. Obama does have 3-seed Texas A&M in his Final Four, joined by Kansas, UNC, and MSU.
Here's President Obama's full bracket, followed by video from ESPN of the President speaking to Andy Katz about his picks:
