For the first time in four years, the Virginia Cavaliers did not have anyone drafted in the NBA Draft. However, Mike Scotto of Basketball Insiders reports that London Perrantes, who had worked out for some double-digit number of teams over the past couple months, has signed with the Miami Heat for the NBA Summer League.
Miami Heat have agreed to a Summer League deal with London Perrantes (Virginia), a league source told Basketball Insiders.

A summer league deal means Perrantes will have another shot to show off his skill set for the Heat against some NBA veterans as well as some of the best rookies in the league. It’s still far from a contract, but it’s at least a path — and one that’s worked out for others in the past. In 2014, Miami signed Tyler Johnson as a free agent out of Fresno State. Just this past season, Johnson signed a $50 million contract with Miami.
It can be done.
Miami will be playing in both the Orlando (July 1-6) and Las Vegas (July 7-17) summer leagues this year.
