CBS Sports Network to show “UMBC vs. UVA: Bracket Busted” Monday Night

Four unique perspectives for an historical night.

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-First Round-Virginia vs UMBC Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Just when you thought we were done talking about it, we’re not.

That’s going to be the mantra of the entire 2018-2019 men’s basketball campaign for the Virginia Cavaliers, and if you’re not on board with that yet, you’re only fooling yourself. At the end of the day, the UMBC Retrievers did something absolutely incredible, and there’s no reason that shouldn’t be celebrated—unless you’re a Wahoo, of course.

CBS Sports Network is continuing its “Four Sides of the Story” franchise with UMBC vs. UVA: Bracket Busted, which provided “an inside look at #16 seed UMBC’s historic upset over #1 seed Virginia in the 2018 NCAA Tournament.”

They’ll recount the night that shocked college basketball (weird how Virginia has been involved in two upsets “heard around the world” already huh?) by interviewing folks with four completely different perspectives of the game:

  • K.J. Maura, UMBC Point Guard, Melvin Maura, his father and Ryan Odom, UMBC Head Coach
  • Tracy Wolfson, CBS Sports Lead Reporter
  • Isaiah Wilkins, UVA Forward
  • Zach Seidel, UMBC “Twitter Guy”

Here’s a teaser:

So set your DVRs—or don’t—it doesn’t really matter to me. But this could be a great way to get yourself 100% over the loss and maybe to a point where you can be happy for the plucky Retrievers out of Baltimore?

It’s set to air tonight, Monday, November 19, at 7:00 p.m. ET on the CBS Sports Network.
