The National Champion Virginia Cavaliers wrapped up a successful 2018-2019 campaign not just by bringing home the hardware, but by holding 19 opponents to under 55 points this season! The end of the season means it’s time to close out our pledges to the One Love Foundation in honor of Yeardley Love.
As a group, at the time of this post, 48 of us collectively pledged $502.11 per game under 55, which brings this year’s pledged total to $9,540.09! On top of that, we had four bonus giving opportunities that many of you participated in this year:
- Women’s Basketball (Each time the women’s team held an opponent to under 55): This happened 5 times, and 12 of you pledged, for a pledged total of $625.00.
- Rounding Error (Opponents hitting 55 on the button): This happened one time, and 32 of you pledged, for a pledged total of $324.11.
- Double Down (Doubling your amount for post-season Pack Line Pledge games): This happened twice (vs. Oklahoma and vs. Oregon), and 32 of you pledged, for a pledged total of $1,200.00.
- Extra Credit (An extra $1 for each point under 50): This happened 11 times (a total of 56 points under 50), and 24 of you pledged for a total of $1,344.00
This brings our grand total to $13,033.20 if everyone who pledged does so now! It’s not too late to join the pledge!
