Mike London and the rest of the Virginia Cavaliers' recruiting staff go back to the lucrative well of Tidewater recruits, as 2015 Ocean Lakes cornerback T.J. Griffin announced this evening that he has committed to the Hoos, multiple outlets report.

Rivals gives the senior three stars, ranking him the No. 70 cornerback of 2015 and the overall No. 24 recruit coming out of the Commonwealth. The 247Sports composite also gives him three stars, though ranking him only at No. 103 among all cornerbacks and overall No. 38 in Virginia.

Though he might not have the stars behind his name, Griffin is an impressive get for the Hoos, as he was ultimately down between Virginia, Maryland and Wisconsin. Prior to his official visit in Charlottesville this past weekend, it looked like Wisconsin was the frontrunner. He was hosted by fellow Virginia Beach native Tre Nicholson.
