The Virginia Cavaliers secured a commitment on Saturday from Ohio State Buckeyes grad transfer defensive lineman Dylan Thompson.

Thompson was the No. 18 recruit in the state of Illinois coming out of high school and joined OSU’s 2014 recruiting class over Clemson and Tennessee, among others.
Thompson was academically ineligible for the 2016 season after fighting injury problems throughout his time in Columbus, and was not on scholarship last year. He played two games in the scarlet and gray, both in 2017 against UNLV and Illinois.
Thompson often shares a glimpse into his workout regimen on Instagram.
UVA defensive line coach Vic So’oto is happy with Thompson’s decision.
